Artaissance Featured on Fox TV’s Sci-Fi Hit, “Fringe”

Created by J.J. Abrams, and the rest of the team behind “Star Trek,” Fox’s hit sci-fi series, “Fringe” explores the blurred line between the possible and impossible. The show just ended it’s second season with a finale that leaves many unanswered questions and audiences counting down the days until next season - coming this fall.

“Fringe” set designers contacted Artaissance, after learning about the on-line art gallery. They were immediately drawn to the New York Botanical Garden collection; they saw it as the perfect addition to main character, Olivia Dunham’s home.

Dunham, portrayed by actress Anna Torv, is a special agent put in charge of creating a task force whose goal is to investigate a series of unexplained events.

The set designers wanted to bring a much more comfortable, relaxed feel into this character’s home, since her line of work is so out-of-this-world unique. They did that by selecting floral images, in a range of colors and subjects. Here are a few examples of the pieces selected by “Fringe” set designers:

Le Pommier-Poison

Flore d’Amerique #3

Catesby Butterflies #1

Martagon #1

Kikka Red #2

I’m looking forward to seeing what happens with Agent Olivia Dunham next season and of course, I’ll always be on the lookout for exciting Artaissance sightings!
